The AFDX Monitor is used for monitoring AFDX data. All data received via the selected interface is displayed. Thus a quick overview of the present data is possible. Fragmented data packets are defragmented and displayed (see screenshot message data length > 1471 bytes).
Recorded AFDX data (Wireshark format) can be read and displayed. Gradual reading of the data is also possible.
If a message is selected the user data is displayed in the “Message Data” window in the Hex and ASCII format. When clicking on a byte in the area of the Hex display in the “Message Data” window, this byte and the other three bytes are represented in the “Message Details” binary display.
When clicking on a bit position in the binary representation the background colour changes. This is to mark individual bit positions for better assignment during testing.
The manufacturer interface control documents (ICDs) are not needed, and accordingly the AFDX signals will not be assigned by name to the data received. This assignment is performed in the AFDX Explorer.
Filters are available for virtual links (VLs) and message IDs to facilitate limiting the displayed data records.

The range from bit 1 to bit 8 is selected (see dark green marks) for calculation of hexadecimal, decimal and octal values.
For insiders: Marks was in the UTC record (VL = 15068, msgid = 20015), the four bytes for the second.

The manufacturer Interface Control Documents (ICDs) are not needed, there is no name assigned in accordance with the AFDX signals to the received data. This mapping is done in AFDX Explorer.
For data connections (virtual links, VL Id) and the Message IDs (Msg Id) provides filters to the records displayed to quickly narrow.

We will provide you the software and a manual in PDF format. Optional we provide a Linux test version on a USB stick that can be booted on standard computers. A write access to the internal hard disk of the computer is not required when using the USB stick!
